Privacy

The short version

SayHarbor is an offline-first communication app. Your boards, words, and photos live on your device. There are no ads, no tracking, and no account is required to use it.

What stays on your device

Your boards, button labels, spoken phrases, chosen photos, and settings are stored locally on your device. Speech is produced on the device and never needs the internet.

Optional cloud backup and sharing

If you choose to back up or share boards with a caregiver, your boards are sent to our sync service using an anonymous code that you control. We do not require your name, email, or any account. You can stop syncing at any time, and we delete synced data on request.

Photos

Photos you add to buttons are picked by you and stored on your device. They are only included in a backup or share if you choose to sync. SayHarbor does not access your photo library without your action.

No ads, no tracking, no sale of data

We do not show advertising, we do not embed third-party trackers, and we never sell your data. The microphone is not used. We do not build advertising profiles.

Children and vulnerable users

SayHarbor is used by children and adults with disabilities. We collect as little as possible, require no account, and design for privacy by default in line with COPPA and similar protections. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Purchases

If you buy a subscription or lifetime unlock, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google. We receive only the information needed to confirm your purchase status, never your payment details.

When you contact us

If you send us a message, from this website or from inside the app, it is delivered to our inbox by a form service called Web3Forms, which processes it only to pass it on. We receive what you typed, the topic you picked, and whether it came from the website or the app.

Your email address is optional and is used for one thing: replying to you. If you leave it blank the message still reaches us, we simply cannot answer. We do not add you to any mailing list, and messages are not used for advertising or profiling.

Your choices

You can export your boards at any time, delete them on your device, and stop or delete cloud sync. To request deletion of any synced data, contact us.
